I am excited that you are here!!
After having thrived within the music industry for over 20+ years (as an award winning singer-songwriter, jingle writer and producer) and spent a great deal of my life working as a one-on-one life coach, inspirational speaker and published author ... I can honestly say that I have had my fair share of experience with the public! And because of my many years within the entertainment field, I tend to excell at presentation, contractual negotiations and creative solutions.
A few years ago, (probably after having watched way too many hours of HGTV) I decided to turn "a hobby" into an actual career! After completeing over 300+ hours of accredited real estate education, I joined Keller Williams (while receiving guidance and support from one of the most outstanding top producing Keller Williams agents in Houston.) Once my 'in-the-field' training was complete, I established my team-based company, "A Home For The Heart" and joined Trend Setter Realty.
When my schedule permits, I am able to work as a buyer's agent and I have worked with many clients to help them efficiantly and quickly relocate into, around or out of Houston.
However, my primary focus is working as a Listing agent where I help sellers prepare, market and sell (or lease) their home.
My best case senario (as a Listing agent): I gained a contract for my seller in under 5 days and brought us through a speedy, yet difficult closing a few weeks later. This was after my sellers had already had their home on the market for over 3 months with another agent. Because my wise clients actually followed my instructions and listened to everything I told them ... they hit gold and we were able to sell their home during a very difficult (and almost impossible) market!
Now ... for those of you who already know of me (from the other things I do in life) you might be wanting to ask, "So, why did you go into real estate Christian?
I guess you could say it is literally in my genes, as I come from a long line of real estate folks! I am the grandson of a very respected Houston home builder and realtor named John Clayton and my grandmother, Edith Olivia Clayton-Seymore was one of the first successful Houston female realtors in Houston.
Then there is the fact that I simply love homes! For years now, I have been spending hours and hours everyday searching for the latest and greatest homes on the market, touring them and figuring out what makes them sell. Because of this I have a pretty good understanding of what is out there and how to enhance a home's marketability.
My highest goal is always centered around helping others' locate or transfer out of their home in the most positive and balanced way possible. It is from this standpoint that I seek to come at real estate in a different way than most. Instead of seeking to be a "top producer" and represent as many clients as possible, I am careful not to overload myself (or my team) to the point that we are unable to provide excellent service and attention to detail.
My "A Home For The Heart" idea is built upon the belief that each and every home we live in symbolizes a significant chapter within our lives. These magical buildings made of wood and concrete create the stage where we seek to manifest our most cherished memories and carry out the destiny life has put before us. It is for this reason that I strive to make my buyer or seller's time of transition as meaningful, fun and positive of an experience as possible. The same goes for all the fellow agents I encounter and/or work with. I feel that it is our inherited responsibility to not only look out for our clients' best interests, but to enthusiastically create an atmosphere of integrity and respect for all involved.
